Case Studies & Validation

The following case studies demonstrate the transfection performance of EUFECT® LNP formulations across three biologically distinct and clinically relevant cell models: adherent tumour cell lines, human primary fibroblasts, and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). In each experiment, EUFECT®-based LNPs were tested head-to-head against equivalent formulations prepared with commercially available ionizable lipids under identical conditions. All LNPs were loaded with eGFP-encoding mRNA to enable direct, quantitative visualisation of transfection efficiency, assessed 24 hours post-transfection by three complementary read-outs.

Brightfield

Phase-contrast microscopy reveals cell morphology, monolayer density, and integrity — confirming viability independent of transfection status.

Fluorescence (eGFP)

eGFP emission (ex. 488 nm / em. 507 nm) directly visualises LNP uptake and mRNA translation.

Flow Cytometry (FITC)

Single-cell FITC histograms quantify % eGFP⁺ cells. The vertical gate line separates autofluorescence (left) from eGFP-specific signal (right).
